Luke’s Priorities
As a longtime Wyoming resident, I know the issues people truly care about, and I understand how to find solutions that work in the real world.
Pro-Second Amendment
The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental constitutional liberty that has long been part of Wyoming's way of life. As a lifelong hunter and outdoorsman, I understand the importance of responsible firearm ownership and the traditions that accompany it. In my family, firearms have always been used safely and responsibly for hunting, protecting livestock and property, and personal defense. Passing those values on through education and safe handling is just as important as protecting the right itself. I will continue to defend the Second Amendment and oppose efforts to weaken the rights of responsible, law-abiding citizens.
Pro-Life
I believe every human life has inherent worth and deserves to be protected. That conviction extends to the unborn and shapes my support for Wyoming's pro-life laws and policies. At the same time, I believe we should provide meaningful support to mothers, children, and families by strengthening adoption opportunities, improving the foster care system, and investing in education and community resources that help children succeed. Building a culture that values life means offering both legal protections and practical support, and I will continue working toward policies that reflect those principles.
Pro-Family Values
Strong families have always been the foundation of Wyoming communities. For generations, our neighbors have built their lives through hard work, personal responsibility, respect for others, and a willingness to serve. Those values continue to make Wyoming a place where families want to live, work, and raise their children. As our state grows and changes, we must preserve the principles that have made our communities strong. That means defending parents' rights, promoting safe schools and neighborhoods, and supporting policies that keep Wyoming an affordable place where families can build a future for generations to come.
Pro-Individual Property Rights
Owning a home or a piece of land should represent security, not uncertainty. As property taxes continue to rise, many Wyoming families, retirees, and longtime homeowners are finding it increasingly difficult to stay where they have built their lives. I support responsible property tax relief that helps keep homeownership within reach while ensuring local governments remain accountable. I have backed efforts to provide meaningful relief and create a more stable, predictable tax system. Government should protect private property rights and allow families to keep more of what they have worked hard to earn.
Balanced Budget
Responsible budgeting is one of the most important duties of government. Wyoming has a long tradition of living within its means, and I believe that principle should guide every spending decision. With a degree in Business and Accounting, and years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, I understand the value of careful financial management. As Director of WYDOT, I oversaw a budget of more than $850 million while maintaining fiscal discipline and accountability. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the flow of money within large organizations. In the Legislature, I will continue to support balanced budgets, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and policies that keep government efficient, transparent, and focused on its core responsibilities.
Business Development
Wyoming must remain open for business and continue creating an environment where businesses can grow and succeed. By attracting and retaining a vast array of industries, we can strengthen our economy and create lasting opportunities for future generations. I want to ensure our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to build successful careers in Wyoming.
Energy
Wyoming has an opportunity to lead in both traditional and emerging energy sectors that create long-term jobs and strengthen our state’s economy. I believe we must continue to support our core oil, coal, and gas industries while also ensuring Wyoming remains competitive in an evolving energy landscape, including the safe development of nuclear energy and the expansion of uranium mining and processing.
Thriving Communities
We must have communities that thrive in Wyoming, communities that meet the needs and expectations of our next generations. We must aggressively work to build an environment that helps keep our kids and grandkids here in the state. I see those minimum requirements as excellent jobs, available healthcare, affordable housing, and a quality education.
Military
As a military man myself, I know firsthand the sacrifices that our brave soldiers make to ensure our freedoms. Supporting the men and women who serve our nation and the families who stand beside them is crucial for maintaining our strength and our values. We must continue honoring their sacrifice and strengthen opportunities for veterans, active-duty personnel, and military families across Wyoming.
Agriculture
Agriculture has long been a cornerstone of Wyoming’s economy, culture, and way of life. Growing up around my family’s farming operations taught me the value of hard work, stewardship, and the importance of rural communities. I am committed to supporting policies that keep agriculture strong, sustainable, and viable for future generations.
Infrastructure
Our roads, power grids, water systems, and other critical infrastructure must remain reliable and resilient to meet the needs of our communities and businesses. Having served as Director of WYDOT, I understand firsthand the importance of maintaining and improving the systems that keep Wyoming connected. We must continue making smart investments that prepare our state for the future while responsibly managing taxpayer dollars.
