I served for 36 years in the United States military, enlisting as a teenager. It became a career because of the men and women I served with and because I believed in the mission: defending this nation. In my final eight years, I was privileged to lead the Wyoming Military Department, where we focused on ensuring the force was ready and on supporting Wyoming’s service members and their families, both at home and abroad.
After retiring from the military, I was privileged to work with another exceptional group of men and women for four years as the Director of WYDOT. I enjoyed the organization's operational mindset and its focus on the safety and protection of the traveling public.
Public service has been my life and has certainly shaped who I am today. You can expect me to be honest and transparent; to listen, think, and then speak; to put in the work; and to always treat others with dignity and respect.
As your representative, I will be committed to keeping Wyoming open for business and to protecting Wyoming’s legacy energy, ag, and tourism industries. These sectors are the bedrock of our economy, provide excellent jobs, and fund a large portion of our state budget. Protecting these industries while fostering new opportunities is crucial for our state's current and future success.
I will also focus on building and maintaining vibrant communities, which requires good jobs, affordable housing, available healthcare, and excellent education. This is important to me because it provides opportunities for our kids and grandkids and will help keep them in the state we call home.
As a husband, father, and grandfather, I believe that leadership must address today's needs while keeping a mindful eye on the future. Beyond improving Wyoming for its residents today, we have a responsibility to leave Wyoming better and stronger, not just for ourselves, but for generations to come.
I am ready to serve again, and hope that you can trust me to represent you with integrity, commitment, and determination.
